Judy Siegle

Speaker, Author, Paralympian

One Moment Can Change a Life Forever. . .

On August 11,1979 Judy Siegle experienced one such moment. At 18 years old, she was preparing for a typical college experience while fulfilling her goal of playing college basketball when a drunk driver sped through a stop sign and shattered Judy’s dreams. With a spinal cord injury, her life changed from anticipating a bright future to facing life in a wheelchair.

Judy never allowed her circumstances to dictate the success of her life. Through hard work, discipline, and reliance on faith, Judy “courageously turned personal tragedy into professional success” (Harry Argue, CAE, President and CEO). She went on to become an elite athlete in wheelchair racing participating in the 1996 and 2000 Paralympics and setting four national records in track events for quadriplegic women.
